The reported wedding is expected to take place in Funchal, Madeira’s capital, where the formal ceremony is said to be scheduled at a historic cathedral. According to local customs, wedding ceremonies at the venue typically begin at around 3pm. A reception for guests is then expected to follow at the Savoy Palace, a luxury five-star hotel in the city.

The choice of venue has attracted considerable interest, particularly because earlier reports had suggested that the couple would marry at the famous Quinta da Regaleira estate in Sintra, near Lisbon. That speculation later appeared to lose momentum after reports indicated that the estate would remain open to the public during the period in question. Attention subsequently shifted towards Madeira as the possible location for the wedding.

Citing local sources, The Sun reported that guests staying at the Savoy Palace had been informed that two floors of the hotel, along with several bars, would be temporarily closed on Friday and Saturday.
