Border achieved the total in 156 matches, serving as the cornerstone of Australian batting through the 1980s and early 1990s. Dravid matched the figure in 164 matches, earning a reputation for technical precision and prolonged concentration.

Australia’s Ricky Ponting holds sixth place on the list with 62 half-centuries compiled across 168 Tests, having anchored Australia’s top order across more than a decade of international competition.
