A disturbing case of premeditated vengeance has emerged from Thrissur, Kerala, where a woman allegedly coordinated with a gang of criminals to kidnap her husband and his female companion, leading to the brutal assault of the man and the gang rape of the young woman.
State law enforcement authorities confirmed the arrest of six individuals in connection with the crime. The custody group includes the victim’s male companion’s wife—who served as the primary instigator—and five men hired to execute the abduction, physical torture, and sexual violence.
According to investigative findings released by the Kerala Police, the incident transpired last month when the young woman travelled to Thrissur alongside her married male friend. The pair had checked into a local hotel to spend time together. Suspecting her husband of infidelity, the man’s wife used real-time smartphone location-tracking tools to monitor his movements. Upon confirming that he was staying at the hotel with another woman, she contacted a group of local operatives and provided them with precise details regarding their whereabouts, instructing the men to intervene on her behalf.
The five accomplices arrived at the hotel premises posing as plainclothes police officers executing an official inspection. Leveraging this false authority, they restrained the couple inside their room before forcing them into separate waiting vehicles.
Once en route, the attackers subjected the husband to severe physical torture. The assault was so relentless that the man suffered multiple fractures across his arms and legs. After disabling him, the gang drove across state borders and abandoned his battered, unconscious body outside a hospital in neighbouring Tamil Nadu.
Simultaneously, two members of the gang drove the young woman in a second vehicle to an isolated location, where she was subjected to a gang rape. Following the assault, the perpetrators fled the area, leaving her behind.
The local police launched an investigation after receiving reports of the missing couple and the subsequent discovery of the injured husband in Tamil Nadu. Detectives utilised call detail records, digital forensic tracking, and technical surveillance to piece together the sequence of events. The investigation quickly revealed the direct involvement of the wife, who had passed real-time location data to the hired assault team and directed their actions out of intense anger over her husband’s relationship with the victim.
All six suspects remain in police custody facing charges including kidnapping, impersonating public servants, grievous bodily harm, and gang rape. Detectives continue to gather forensic evidence, collect victim statements, and examine digital communication logs to construct a comprehensive prosecution file for the court.
