Hasnat Abdullah Delivers Strong Message at NCP Coordination Meeting in Chattogram

Hasnat Abdullah, the Chief Organiser for the southern region of the National Citizens’ Party (NCP), has said that those wishing to avoid factional clashes and violence should join the politics of the NCP. He stated that people are fed up with armed politics and extortion, adding that the party’s goal in the upcoming election will be to defeat mafias, extortionists, and the politics of bullets. According to him, bullets have taken precedence over ballots in Chattogram, and those responsible will be brought to justice. He also invited BNP nomination–deprived individuals, who are genuinely interested in nation-building, to join the NCP.

He made these remarks on Wednesday (5 November) night while addressing a coordination meeting at the Engineers Institute, organised to activate the activities of Chattogram metropolitan (North and South) NCP units. During the event, he provided several directives to strengthen the party’s organisational work.

Expressing dissatisfaction with two advisers of the interim government, he said that the health adviser neither understands healthcare nor contributes to it, but remains preoccupied with instalment collection and medicine sales. He claimed that the responsibility for the July freedom fighter losing his eyesight in Khulna would fall on the adviser.

Regarding the adviser of the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs, Hasnat warned that if the dues of the July freedom fighters are not cleared soon, the amount will be recovered from the luxury vehicles used under protocol.

He further said that excessive quorum among NCP’s Chattogram leaders is unnecessary and must be avoided. Unity is essential, as attempting to succeed alone leads to inevitable failure.

The meeting was chaired by Chief Coordinator Mir Arshadul Haque. Special guests included ASM Suja Uddin, Mohammad Hasan Ali, Sagupta Bushra Mishwa, Zubairul Hasan Arif, Emon Sayed, Zubairul Hasan Manik, Zawadul Karim, and Ehsanul Mahbub Zubayr.
