Harry Styles’ ‘Aperture’ Debuts Atop Global Charts

Harry Styles has scored another major milestone with his latest single, “Aperture”, debuting at number one on the Global 200 chart. This marks the singer’s second time topping the prestigious list, following the record-breaking success of “As It Was”, which spent 15 consecutive weeks at number one in 2022.

Meanwhile, Taylor Swift continues to dominate the Global Excl. U.S. chart, as “The Fate of Ophelia” holds firm at the summit for a seventh consecutive week since its debut in October 2025. The single’s sustained popularity highlights Swift’s enduring global appeal, particularly outside of the United States.

The Global 200 and Global Excl. U.S. charts rank songs based on streaming and sales activity from over 200 territories worldwide, compiled by data analytics company Luminate. While the Global 200 incorporates worldwide activity, the Global Excl. U.S. chart excludes data from the United States. Rankings are calculated using a weighted formula that accounts for official streams on both subscription and ad-supported tiers of audio and video services, along with digital download sales from full-service music retailers, excluding direct-to-consumer sales.

“Aperture,” the lead single from Styles’ forthcoming fourth album, “Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally”, scheduled for release on 6 March 2026, amassed 51.3 million streams and 9,000 sales worldwide between 23–29 January, just days after its 22 January release.

Following a six-week reign atop the Global 200, “The Fate of Ophelia” slipped to number two, while Djo’s “End of Beginning” fell from second to third, three weeks after reaching the chart’s summit for the first time. HUNTR/X’s “Golden”, after an 18-week stint at number one beginning last July, descended to fourth place, and Olivia Dean’s “Man I Need” maintained fifth position after previously peaking at number three.

On the Global Excl. U.S. chart, Swift’s track leads with 41.9 million streams (down 6%) and 4,000 sales (down 28%). Djo remains at number two, while Styles’ “Aperture” enters at number three, marking his sixth top 10 placement outside the U.S. and seventh overall on the Global 200. HUNTR/X drops to fourth, and RAYE’s “Where Is My Husband!” falls to fifth from fourth.
