Musician, composer, and actor Pritom Hasan is set to take centre stage at the upcoming “Monsoon Beats” concert in Dhaka, sharing headline billing with pioneering progressive metal band Artcell and a diverse lineup of established Bangladeshi acts. Scheduled for 29 August, the open-air musical event will take place at Courtside, situated along Madani Avenue in the capital. The showcase promises local music enthusiasts an eclectic blend of contemporary pop, heavy rock, folk fusion, and classic Bangladeshi melodies.
Organised by Enviro Events, the concert has been meticulously curated to bridge generational tastes and genre boundaries. Alongside the co-headlining sets by Pritom Hasan and Artcell, the stage will host popular youth-centric band Odd Signature, legendary veteran band Renaissance, solo vocalist Shibu, and energetic sets by DJ Shimarai. Organisers anticipate a high-energy gathering designed to revitalise Dhaka’s live performance scene following a period of relative quiet for large-scale outdoor concerts across the country.
Entry to the venue is restricted to concertgoers aged 16 and above, with advance passes available through designated distribution channels. According to Enviro Events, the primary objective of “Monsoon Beats” is to inject fresh momentum into the domestic entertainment industry by uniting veteran legends, indie trendsetters, and mainstream hitmakers on a single, professionally equipped stage.
Pritom Hasan approaches the event amidst a period of extraordinary career momentum spanning playback singing, solo releases, music composition, and screen acting. His recent solo single, “Second Nayok,” has generated significant traction across streaming platforms. The track’s cinematic music video—featuring creative direction by acclaimed filmmaker Nuhash Humayun and directed by Monjur Onik—stars actor Mir Rabbi and model Malaika Chowdhury, earning wide praise for its stylistic storytelling.
Simultaneously, Pritom continues to solidify his reputation as a versatile actor. He recently garnered acclaim for his starring role in the web film “Tumi Ami Shudhu,” directed by Shihab Shaheen, where he played opposite singer-turned-actress Zeffer Rahman. Despite a demanding schedule filled with studio recordings and film shoots, the multi-hyphenate artist continues to prioritise live performances, making his upcoming appearance at “Monsoon Beats” one of the capital’s most eagerly awaited musical highlights this season.
