Raphinha Boosts Brazil Ahead of Norway Showdown

Brazil have received a timely injury boost ahead of their FIFA World Cup Round of 16 clash against Norway, with forward Raphinha returning to training after recovering from the hamstring injury that had ruled him out of the team’s previous two matches.

Although Brazil’s medical staff are unlikely to risk him in the starting line-up, his place among the substitutes now appears increasingly probable.

That could prove significant against a disciplined Norwegian side expected to defend compactly while relying on the pace, power and finishing ability of Haaland to threaten on the counter-attack.

Raphinha’s experience, creativity and ability to unlock stubborn defences could make him an effective impact substitute if Brazil require additional attacking impetus in the latter stages of the match.
