The director was reportedly adamant that only Singh’s signature melancholic depth could adequately capture the complex, emotional journey of the film’s central protagonist, Shivam Pandit. It was this specific artistic challenge, combined with deep-rooted industry ties, that ultimately convinced the vocalist to reverse his earlier decision.

Their collaborative journey began over a decade ago with the hit track ‘Phir Mohabbat’ from the thriller Murder 2. Scheduled for a theatrical release on 14 August, the feature film also boasts a stellar ensemble cast including Disha Patani and veteran actress Shabana Azmi in pivotal roles.
