Dhaka will host the first-ever Global Sourcing Expo from 1st to 3rd December 2025 at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Exhibition Centre in the capital’s Purbachal area. The event is organised by the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) and the Ministry of Commerce, with the aim of showcasing Bangladesh’s export potential to global markets and strengthening international business relationships.
At a press briefing held on Thursday, EPB’s Vice-Chairman and Chief Executive, Mohammad Hasan Arif, shared the details of the upcoming expo. He announced that buyers, investors, and sourcing companies from several countries, including Afghanistan, China, Iran, Japan, Myanmar, Pakistan, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, the United Arab Emirates, and the United States, will participate in the event.
The expo will feature over 100 companies, multinational corporations, wholesale traders, and supply chain representatives from Bangladesh’s top 8 export sectors: ready-made garments, leather and leather products, jute and jute products, agricultural and agro-based products, plastics and kitchenware, home decor and furniture, pharmaceuticals, and ICT. The event aims to help create new markets for the country’s producers and exporters.
Throughout the three-day event, there will be 10 specialised seminars, both online and offline B2B meetings, over 150 stalls, networking dinners, and a fashion show. The Global Sourcing Expo 2025 will serve as a platform for presenting Bangladesh’s diverse export sectors and promising industries to the global stage.
EPB expects that the expo will offer Bangladeshi exporters opportunities to explore new markets, secure long-term business agreements, and form partnerships with international brands. It will also strengthen Bangladesh’s position as a reliable sourcing hub globally.
The press conference was also attended by EPB’s Director General, Baby Rani Karmakar, Mohammad Aktar Hossain Azad, and other senior officials of the EPB.
