Actress Tasnuva Tisha was involved in a road accident while returning to Dhaka after completing a drama shoot in Sreemangal. She and the members of her team are understood to have escaped without major injuries, although details of their condition were not immediately available.
Tisha herself reported the incident during a live broadcast on her Facebook account at around 12:45am on Sunday. Speaking about what had happened, she said she had been travelling towards Dhaka by car with other members of her team after finishing their shooting schedule in Sreemangal.
The accident occurred after they crossed the Bhairab Bridge. According to Tisha, a pickup vehicle collided with their car near the toll plaza in the area. The pickup did not remain at the scene after the collision and instead left the area shortly afterwards.
The incident prompted Tisha and those accompanying her to try to locate the vehicle. She said they followed the pickup on a motorcycle and eventually managed to stop it. Police also arrived at the scene during the aftermath of the incident, according to the actress.
Describing the experience during her live broadcast, Tisha said the accident had been serious and that they had narrowly escaped a potentially worse outcome. She also indicated that the police had already reached the location when she was speaking to viewers.
