Atif Aslam Set for Dhaka Return Alongside Local Talent

Pakistani musical icon Atif Aslam is scheduled to make his highly anticipated return to Dhaka later this month, headlining a major concert titled ‘Main Stage Featuring Atif Aslam’ on Friday, 24 July. The vocalist confirmed the fixture directly via his verified social media account on Wednesday, 8 July, with the brief announcement: ‘Dhaka – July 24, 2026’.

Organised by entertainment agency Main Stage, the event will be staged at the Cricketers Academy grounds, situated in the capital’s 300 Feet locality. The concert features a diverse billing, pairing the international pop artist with two prominent Bangladeshi acts: art-rock outfit Meghdol and alternative fusion band Level Five. This cross-border lineup aims to offer a multi-genre experience, combining regional commercial pop with local contemporary music.

To manage crowd safety and logistics, organisers have established a strict operational timetable. Ticket sales are currently underway across three distinct pricing tiers. Venue gates are set to open at 2:00 pm, with entry points closing permanently at 6:00 pm for security reasons. The main musical programme is scheduled to run from 5:00 pm until 10:00 pm.

Kazi Rafsan, representing Main Stage, noted that the event represents one of the largest musical productions in the capital this year, expressing gratitude to the technical teams, artists, and patrons involved in bringing the project to fruition.

The July performance resolves a significant delay for fans holding tickets from the original fixture, which was abruptly suspended on 13 December last year. Despite near-complete technical preparations, safety concerns linked to the announcement of the national election schedule forced a last-minute postponement. At the time, the management team clarified that the event was deferred rather than cancelled, pledging to honour purchases at a later date.

A ticket reconciliation framework has been introduced to accommodate previous buyers. Patrons who retained their 2025 tickets can complete a verification process on the official platform to receive updated passes via complimentary home delivery. Additionally, individuals with pending refund requests are permitted to rescind their cancellations and claim standard entry tickets under the same delivery arrangement.
