Popular singers Akash Mahmud and Ina Khan have unveiled their latest musical collaboration, Dalim Thot, offering listeners a fresh fusion of Bangla music and Afro beat. The new track has been released through the Akash Dream Music YouTube channel and is already drawing attention for its attempt to introduce a different musical flavour to the contemporary Bangla music scene.
The song has been written by Ina Khan, while Akash Mahmud composed and arranged the music. Alongside lending their voices to the project, both artists also appear as models in the accompanying music video. The choreography was created by Goubor Gogo, while the video was directed by Ashik Mahmud.
Speaking about the project, Ina Khan said that although she was born abroad, she has always felt a deep emotional connection to Bangla culture. She explained that this affection inspired her to blend traditional Bangla musical elements with Afro beat rhythms, resulting in Dalim Thot. She also expressed confidence in working with her brothers, Ashik and Akash, saying their shared vision and trust made the creative process enjoyable. Ina added that she hopes audiences will embrace the song and extended her gratitude to everyone involved in bringing the project to life.
Akash Mahmud said the release was partly inspired by feedback from his listeners, many of whom had encouraged him to experiment beyond his familiar musical style.
