Addressing a large public gathering in his political stronghold of Narsingdi, the minister assured citizens that the head of government is systematically delivering on every pledge made to the electorate.
Dr Moyeen Khan delivered these remarks as the chief guest during a special prayer and milad mahfil on Wednesday afternoon. The event, held at the Palash Upazila Multipurpose Auditorium, was explicitly organised to observe Eid-e-Miladunnabi, a deeply revered occasion marking the birth of the Prophet Muhammad. Such gatherings frequently serve as vital platforms for national leaders to connect with grassroots supporters while reflecting on moral and ethical governance.
Speaking on the profound religious significance of the day, the minister described Eid-e-Miladunnabi as an exceptionally sacred and glorious occasion for the global Muslim community. The minister offered solemn prayers for the peaceful repose of his parents—his late father, the former Food Minister Abdul Momen Khan, and his late mother, Khorsheda Banu. Abdul Momen Khan remains a respected figure in the region’s political history, having laid much of the foundation for his son’s enduring connection with the local constituency.
Demonstrating the official weight of the cabinet minister’s regional tour, a full complement of senior district administrators accompanied him during the graveside homage.
