A young woman has tragically lost her life in the capital after being thrown from a moving rickshaw during an attempted bag snatching, highlighting renewed concerns over urban safety in Dhaka during quieter pre-Eid hours.
The incident occurred at approximately 9:00 am on Thursday, 19 March 2026, near the metro station area in Turag, where assailants allegedly targeted the victim while she was travelling home.
