Capital city entertainment venues, parks, and historical landmarks are scheduled to remain operational to accommodate the influx of visitors during the upcoming Eid-ul-Azha holidays. Law enforcement agencies have finalised comprehensive security frameworks across both public and private sectors to ensure the safety of citizens at these major congregation points.
Extensive logistical and structural renovations have been completed in anticipation of high holiday attendance. At the Bangladesh National Zoo in Mirpur, internal walkways have undergone full resurfacing, closed-circuit television (CCTV) networks have been restored, and directional signage boards have been installed throughout the premises to control pedestrian flow.
Operating Hours and Ticketing Matrix
To systematically manage the high volume of holiday traffic, major recreational facilities across metropolitan Dhaka have established specific entry criteria and operational windows.
The verified schedules, entry fees, and structural capacities for the primary entertainment venues are detailed in the table below:

Zoo Logistics and Crowd Management Strategy
The director of the Bangladesh National Zoo, Mohammad Rafikul Islam Talukdar, confirmed to the Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS) that the facility expects a daily attendance of between 100,000 and 150,000 visitors during the Eid holidays.
To mitigate the traditional congestion at the primary gates, management has expanded the infrastructure to feature 14 distinct ticket counters alongside a dedicated vehicular parking toll booth.
“Every year during Eid, our visitor numbers consistently surpass 100,000 to 150,000 individuals, resulting in severe bottlenecks at the primary entry points,” stated Director Mohammad Rafikul Islam Talukdar. “To facilitate an unhindered entry process for this massive crowd, we are increasing the number of active queues. Furthermore, we have held a coordination meeting with law enforcement agencies to eliminate external traffic congestion and guarantee full security inside and around the complex.”
Urban Spaces and Suburban Parks
For residents seeking open urban spaces, locations such as Dhanmondi Lake, Romna Park, Suhrawardy Udyan, Zia Udyan, the Dhaka University campus, and Diabari in Uttara will remain accessible. The 300-Feet road link leading toward the Purbachal market area also serves as a major gathering point.
Within the city, the seven-acre Buriganga Eco-Park in Shampur offers a riverside alternative, while the fully commercial shopping malls, such as Jamuna Future Park, will operate their indoor entertainment zones and Wonderlands. For larger amusement excursions outside the immediate city limits, themed resorts such as Fantasy Kingdom in Ashulia and Nandan Park in Savar are fully operational with holiday scheduling.
