Revised 47th BCS Results Add 14 More Cadre Posts

The Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC) has published a revised final result for the 47th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) examination, recommending 14 additional candidates for appointment to the Livestock Cadre. The updated notification also includes revisions to the non-cadre results, reflecting changes made after the publication of the original final list.

The revised result was announced on Thursday, 16 July 2026, through an official notification published on the PSC’s website. According to the commission, the changes have been made in line with the conditions outlined in the final results published on 28 June 2026, allowing additional candidates to be included for a professional and technical cadre position.

Under the revised decision, 14 more candidates have been recommended for appointment to various positions within the Livestock Cadre, including Veterinary Surgeon, Scientific Officer, Lecturer, Store Officer and equivalent posts. As a result, the total number of recommended candidates for the Livestock Cadre has increased to 68.

The PSC stated that this revised section of the result will replace the corresponding portion of the notification issued on 28 June and will now be treated as the official and effective version. The commission did not indicate any broader changes to the remaining cadre appointments beyond those specified in the revised notification.

The original final results of the 47th BCS examination were published on 28 June 2026. At that time, the PSC recommended a total of 1,521 candidates for government service. Of them, 1,302 were selected for various cadre posts, while 201 were recommended for non-cadre positions.

With the inclusion of the newly recommended 14 candidates, the total number of successful applicants has now risen to 1,535. The revision reflects the PSC’s provision for updating final results where additional vacancies or administrative considerations arise within professional or technical cadres.

The Bangladesh Civil Service examination is the country’s principal competitive recruitment process for first-class government officers. Following the publication of final results, the PSC may issue revised notifications if adjustments become necessary after further scrutiny, verification or the fulfilment of conditions specified in the original announcement. Such revisions are intended to ensure that appointments are made accurately and in accordance with established recruitment rules.

The newly recommended candidates will now proceed through the remaining administrative formalities before receiving their appointments to the relevant government positions. The PSC has indicated that all other portions of the previously published final results remain unchanged unless specifically amended in the latest notification.
