However, far fewer know about his first wife, Shreya, whose identity has remained largely away from the public eye.

Roy met Shreya while studying engineering at Jadavpur University in Kolkata. The two formed a relationship during their student years and eventually married. Their marriage later ended due to personal reasons, with both parties choosing to maintain dignity and privacy without public commentary or mudslinging. Shreya chose to remain completely out of the media spotlight following their separation.

In 2015, Roy married Piya Chakraborty. Over the course of their marriage, the couple collaborated on stage, performing together in several concerts. In 2021, during the pandemic, they announced their mutual decision to divorce amicably. Following the separation, Chakraborty married actor Parambrata Chatterjee, and the couple welcomed a son in June 2025.

Roy has also found happiness anew alongside Prashmita. On Friday, 21 August, Prashmita shared the first glimpse of their newborn son on Facebook. While keeping the baby’s face hidden, she posted a picture of the child sleeping peacefully in her arms, writing in the caption that she felt deeply grateful to God and nature for every moment.

Roy first shot to fame in 2010 after composing and performing iconic tracks such as “Amake Amar Moto Thakte Dao” and “Benche Thakar Gaan” for Srijit Mukherji’s hit film Autograph.
