The Bangladesh Police Headquarters has announced a series of administrative realignments, reassigning six senior officers across various operational divisions, regional posts, and specialized units. Issued on Thursday, 10 September, by the Personnel Management-1 branch of Police Headquarters, the directives were formalised through separate official notifications signed by Additional Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Raihan Uddin Khan.
Under the primary directive, five of the officers have been transferred from their current postings to take up fresh responsibilities within the force structure. The notification explicitly mandates that these personnel must hand over their existing duties by 19 September before joining their new units. Senior leadership emphasized that failure to complete the official handover within the stipulated deadline will result in the officers being treated as instantly released from their present stations, effective from 20 September.
A secondary notification focused on the career movement of Additional Superintendent of Police ANM Saiful Alam Khan. Officials confirmed the total cancellation of his previous transfer order, which had originally slated him for reassignment as the Additional Superintendent of Police for the Magura Sadar Circle. Having previously served at Police Headquarters in Dhaka, his transfer to Magura has now been officially rescinded, and he has been re-posted to the Special Branch (SB) in the same rank.
In a further structural adjustment, Additional Superintendent of Police Fariya Afroz has been moved from her posting within the Armed Police Battalion (APBN). She has now been reassigned to Police Headquarters in Dhaka as an Additional Superintendent of Police (Temporary Reserve).
