BRAC Bank and Midway Securities Limited have signed a Transaction Banking Agreement to enhance the speed, convenience and efficiency of financial transactions for capital market investors through technology-driven banking solutions.
The partnership will allow Midway Securities to use BRAC Bank’s API-based collection and payment solutions, enabling a more streamlined approach to managing customer transactions. Through this digital integration, investors will have improved access to convenient financial services related to investment activities, including fund deposits, payments and other transaction-related processes.
The agreement was signed recently in Dhaka by Md. Shaheen Iqbal, Additional Managing Director and Head of Wholesale Banking at BRAC Bank, and Md. Ashequr Rahman, Managing Director of Midway Securities Limited, on behalf of their respective organisations.
Under the agreement, Midway Securities will adopt BRAC Bank’s Application Programming Interface (API)-based banking solutions to strengthen its transaction management system. API technology enables different digital platforms to exchange information and perform tasks automatically, reducing dependence on manual processes and improving operational efficiency.
The adoption of such digital solutions comes at a time when technology is playing an increasingly important role in the financial services sector. Banks, brokerage firms and other financial institutions are focusing on digital transformation to provide faster, more secure and customer-friendly services.
In the capital market, where timely settlement and reliable financial transactions are essential, digital banking infrastructure can help improve efficiency and create a smoother experience for investors. Automated payment and collection systems can reduce processing time while offering greater convenience for customers.
BRAC Bank has been expanding its technology-based banking services for corporate and institutional clients as part of its efforts to strengthen digital financial solutions. The bank continues to develop modern banking facilities aimed at improving service delivery and supporting business operations.
Midway Securities Limited provides brokerage services to investors in Bangladesh’s capital market. Through this new collaboration, the company aims to enhance its digital capabilities and offer more efficient transaction facilities to its clients.
The agreement reflects the growing cooperation between banking institutions and capital market service providers in adopting digital solutions. Industry observers believe that stronger technological integration can contribute to a more efficient financial ecosystem by improving transaction speed, accessibility and service quality for investors.
As financial institutions continue to embrace digital transformation, partnerships of this nature are expected to support the development of more connected and convenient financial services in Bangladesh.
