BTS Reunification Rumours Denied

Rumours concerning an alleged split within the globally recognised K-pop group BTS have once again circulated online. However, these claims have been firmly dismissed by their management agency, Bright Music. The company’s Vice President, Nicole, has clarified that there is no question of the group disbanding and that BTS continues to move forward in a unified manner.

On 20 March this year, BTS released their fifth studio album, Arirang, which went on to break multiple records shortly after its launch. Following the album’s release, the group embarked on a world tour and is currently continuing its series of performances in the United States. The tour features new musical performances, updated stage productions, and large-scale arrangements, maintaining the group’s strong international presence as a seven-member act.

In recent weeks, however, questions and speculation emerged regarding the group’s continued cohesion. Some observers suggested that the individual success of members in their solo careers may have led to internal tensions within the group. This interpretation has been directly rejected by BigHit, which stated that such assumptions are incorrect.

Nicole addressed the matter, stating: “If the members were to hear these rumours, they would find them entirely absurd. Their relationship is very strong and close.” She further confirmed that all seven members—RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook—remain equally committed to one another and to the group as a whole.

Questions were also raised by some fans regarding Jin’s absence from the credits of the album Arirang. Clarifying this, Nicole explained that Jin was engaged in his solo tour during the production period. Although he later joined the project, the songwriting process had already progressed significantly. He participated in certain preparatory stages but was not involved in the final phase of songwriting due to timing constraints.

Jin has previously stated that he was unable to be present in the United States during the creation of Arirang, but he has expressed his intention to take a more active role in future projects.

At present, BTS is undertaking one of their largest global tours to date, comprising 85 scheduled stops. Reports indicate that Jin also played a significant role in the planning of this extensive tour, having encouraged the label to expand its scope and include performances across multiple continents. This expanded planning could potentially extend the tour through to 2027.
