A 27-year-old man was arrested with two kilograms of cannabis during an anti-drug operation at his residence in Manikganj on Tuesday, 22 September.
The operation was conducted at around 2.15pm in Danistanagar village of Krishnapur Union under Manikganj Sadar Police Station. A team from the Department of Narcotics Control, Manikganj District Office, carried out the raid at the house reportedly under the possession and control of the accused.
The operation was conducted under the overall supervision of Humayun Kabir Khondakar, deputy director of the Department of Narcotics Control’s Manikganj District Office. A team led by Sub-Inspector Md Jamal Hossain took part in the operation.
According to the department’s account, the team searched the residence and recovered two kilograms of cannabis. The accused, identified as Ashik, 27, was arrested at the scene following the recovery.
Ashik is the son of Matin Shikdar and a resident of Danistanagar village in Ward No. 3 of Krishnapur Union, within Manikganj Sadar Police Station’s jurisdiction.
