However, after moving abroad, he entered into a relationship with another Bangladeshi woman. The two subsequently married and began living together in Italy. It is reported that the second wife was not initially aware that Mizanur Rahman had an earlier marriage and family in Bangladesh.

Tensions reportedly emerged when his first wife in Bangladesh began procedures to travel to Italy. Through undisclosed means, the second wife living in Italy became aware that her husband had a prior marital relationship and that his first wife was in the process of joining him in Italy.

The incident occurred late on Friday night while Mizanur Rahman was asleep at his residence. It is alleged that his second wife used a sharp weapon to attack him, resulting in the severing of his genital organ. Following the attack, his screams alerted nearby residents, who intervened and arranged for him to be taken to hospital in a severely injured condition.

Medical officials have stated that Mizanur Rahman remains in a critical condition and is currently receiving treatment at a hospital in Naples. His condition is described as life-threatening.

Italian police responded to the incident and arrested the alleged attacker at the scene. She is currently in custody. Authorities have initiated legal proceedings against her on charges related to serious bodily harm and grievous injury involving organ damage.
