Pakistan Security Forces Neutralise 34 Terrorists

Pakistani security forces have achieved a significant intelligence-driven success in operations across the provinces of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Balochistan, targeting both domestic and internationally linked terrorist networks. The media wing of the Pakistani military, ISPR, reported on Wednesday, 25 February, that at least 34 members of India-linked proxy groups were killed during these coordinated operations.

According to the ISPR statement, the operations focused on armed groups such as Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), which have long been responsible for attacks on Pakistani security forces. Pakistan has accused certain external actors, particularly India, of supporting these terrorist outfits. The groups targeted in these recent operations have been referred to as India-backed proxy networks, including Fitna al-Khawariz and Fitna al-Hindustan.

On 24 February, security forces conducted four separate clashes in KP, resulting in the elimination of 26 terrorists affiliated with Fitna al-Khawariz. Simultaneously, in the Sambaza area of Balochistan, eight members of Fitna al-Hindustan were neutralised during a high-intensity engagement. ISPR confirmed that operations are ongoing, with security forces continuing to target remaining elements.

Military sources also stated that intelligence detected a group of terrorists attempting to infiltrate across the Pakistan-Afghanistan border. In a precise and carefully executed operation, one Afghan national identified as a member of the India-backed proxy network was killed.

The following table summarises the recent operations:

ISPR further stated that substantial quantities of arms and ammunition were recovered from the deceased terrorists. Pakistani security forces emphasised that the operations aim to dismantle the networks of armed groups and reinforce border security.

Analysts note that these operations carry a strong message to the international community regarding Pakistan’s commitment to internal security and the stabilisation of its borders. With the continued intelligence-led actions, authorities intend to neutralise remaining threats and prevent further infiltration by hostile elements.
