Cross-Border Collaboration Marks Eid Music Releases

This Eid-ul-Fitr, music aficionados in Bangladesh and West Bengal are set to enjoy an array of new festive songs, highlighting a remarkable collaboration between artists from both regions. Two standout tracks are capturing attention for their melodies, lyrics, and celebratory spirit, demonstrating the continuing cultural exchange across borders.

“Bhalo Theko” – Belal Khan and Nachiketa Chakraborty

The song “Bhalo Theko”, composed by Bangladeshi musician Belal Khan, features the celebrated Kolkata singer Nachiketa Chakraborty. Lyrics were crafted by Kabir Bakul, with musical arrangement by Shovon Roy. The music video, directed by Chandan Roy Chowdhury, stars Tapas Roy Chowdhury and Prathama Das, and will be released on Soundtek’s YouTube channel.

Nachiketa Chakraborty expressed his enthusiasm for the project, saying,
“I have performed many songs composed in Bangladesh, but this tune offered a fresh and distinct flavour. A song’s appeal comes from both its lyrics and its melody, and I believe ‘Bhalo Theko’ will leave a lasting impression on listeners.”

Belal Khan added,
“Nachiketa enjoys widespread popularity across both Bangla-speaking regions, appealing even to the younger generation. Composing for such a seasoned artist was both a challenge and a pleasure. The director has beautifully complemented the song’s emotion with the video. I am confident the audience will enjoy the music and visuals alike.”

“Eid Esechhe” – Dilshad Nahar Kona and Akash Sen

Another much-anticipated release is “Eid Esechhe”, performed by Dilshad Nahar Kona of Bangladesh and West Bengal singer Akash Sen. Composed by Akash Sen, with lyrics by Salahuddin Sagor and musical arrangement by A.N. Farhad, the song fully embodies the joy and vibrancy of Eid. The video, directed by B.K. Shaheen, brings the festive atmosphere to life with scenes of celebration and communal happiness.
