In a shocking incident from Guntur district, Andhra Pradesh, a woman has been accused of orchestrating the murder of her husband with the help of her lover. According to police reports, Lakshmi Madhuri, the accused, prepared a meal of biryani for her husband, Lokam Shivanagaraju. However, the seemingly ordinary dish contained powdered sleeping pills. After consuming the spiked meal, Shivanagaraju fell into a deep sleep.
Guntur district police revealed that Madhuri subsequently summoned her lover, Gopi, to the house. Together, the pair allegedly suffocated Shivanagaraju by pressing a pillow over his face, resulting in his death. Initially, the incident was staged to appear as a natural death. Forensic examination, however, confirmed that Shivanagaraju had died from asphyxiation and blunt trauma to the chest.
Superintendent of Police Vakul Jindal noted that some media outlets initially reported that Madhuri had spent the night watching pornographic videos beside her husband’s body. Investigations, however, clarified that Shivanagaraju himself often watched such videos on Madhuri’s phone, and disagreements over this habit were frequent between the couple. No evidence was found that any videos were being watched at the time of the murder.

On the night of the murder, Madhuri reportedly drugged her husband with the sedative-laced biryani before calling Gopi to execute the crime.
