A 42-year-old Bangladeshi expatriate worker has been killed in a road accident involving three motorcycles in the Pasir Gudang area of Johor, Malaysia. The victim, who worked as a sanitation worker, died after losing control of his motorcycle and entering the opposite lane, resulting in a multiple-vehicle collision.
The incident occurred at approximately 9:50 a.m. local time on Friday (17 April) along Jalan Masai–Kong Kong. The information was confirmed by Seri Alam District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Mohamad Sohaimi Ishak. According to a report published by Malaysia Gazette, the collision involved three motorcycles and is being investigated as a traffic accident under Malaysian law.
Police stated that the Bangladeshi rider was travelling from Masai town towards Kota Masai on a Honda Wave motorcycle when he lost control of his vehicle. He then veered into the opposite lane and collided with a Modenas motorcycle. The impact caused him to fall onto the road surface.
Immediately after the initial collision, a Yamaha 135 LC motorcycle, approaching from behind, struck the fallen rider. The combined impact of the incident led to fatal injuries. Police confirmed that the victim suffered severe trauma to the left side of his rib cage and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The two other motorcyclists involved in the crash were Malaysian nationals aged 25 and 22. Both sustained minor injuries and received medical attention.
The victim’s body was transferred to Pasir Gudang Hospital along with the injured riders for further medical and post-incident procedures. Authorities have not yet confirmed the identity of the deceased Bangladeshi national.
The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Malaysian Road Transport Act 1987, which covers fatal road accidents caused by reckless or dangerous driving.
