Chelsea have completed the signing of Argentine youngster Valentin Barco from French club RC Strasbourg on a seven-year contract, bringing one of Argentina’s promising young talents to Stamford Bridge.
Barco was part of Argentina’s squad at the last World Cup, although opportunities to make a significant impact were limited. His move to Chelsea now represents another major step in a career that has progressed rapidly since he emerged from the youth system at Boca Juniors.

Bellingham was seen lightly tapping Barco on the ear, an exchange that subsequently drew attention on social media and in football coverage.
