Traffic Disruption and Clearing Operations
Sub-Inspector (SI) Mohammad Milton Mondal of the Bar Aulia Highway Police Station confirmed the details of the fatalities and injuries. He noted that the multi-vehicle collision caused extensive traffic congestion, creating long tailbacks along the Chittagong-bound lane of the highway.
To alleviate the gridlock, personnel from the highway police department deployed recovery vehicles to clear the wreckage. Once the damaged bus, truck, microbus, and auto-rickshaw were removed from the carriageway, normal vehicular movement was fully restored on the route.
