Gaga’s Mayhem Requiem Premiere

Lady Gaga is set to bring a cinematic dimension to her recent musical era with the launch of Apple Music Live: Lady Gaga Mayhem Requiem, a specially filmed performance that will debut globally on Apple Music this Thursday at 8 pm PT.

The production will also receive a one-night-only theatrical screening across selected AMC Theatres locations in 15 major US cities, including New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Seattle, and Washington, DC, offering fans an immersive shared viewing experience beyond the digital premiere.

Directed and produced by Morningview, the project documents Gaga’s live performance at The Wiltern in Los Angeles on 14 January, where she reinterpreted material from her 2025 album Mayhem. The album later went on to win Best Pop Vocal Album at the 2026 Grammy Awards, cementing its critical success and cultural impact.

According to official production notes, the concert film is designed as “the final chapter” of the Mayhem era. It presents a more theatrical and stripped-down reinterpretation of the record, shifting away from its studio polish towards raw, gothic-infused arrangements. The stage design, inspired by the “Mayhem Ball” aesthetic, features dark, atmospheric visuals intended to reflect the album’s emotional intensity.

Among the standout moments are reimagined performances of tracks such as “Abracadabra” and “Disease”, both reshaped into more minimal and experimental arrangements for the live setting. The performance aims to highlight vocal precision and emotional delivery rather than heavy production, offering audiences a new perspective on familiar material.

The livestream will be made available free of charge on Apple Music during its premiere window, with no subscription required at the time of broadcast. Following the initial event, the full concert film and an accompanying Spatial Audio live album will remain available on demand for Apple Music subscribers.

Fans attending the AMC screenings can register online for complimentary access, while additional digital engagement will be enabled through Shazam. Users will be able to unlock exclusive content such as themed wallpapers and Apple Watch faces by identifying select tracks from the performance.
