Islamic Preacher Denies Claim of Nine Marriages, Issues Counter-Challenge in Post

Prominent Islamic speaker Habibur Rahman Misbah has broken his silence following a wave of viral allegations on social media claiming he had contracted nine marriages and engaged in extramarital affairs. Addressing the online controversy directly, the preacher took to his verified social media channels to reject the accusations entirely, declaring himself completely innocent of the claims circulating across digital platforms.
The controversy gained significant traction online before Misbah published a formal response late at night on 22 August. In his detailed statement, he categorised the claims as completely fabricated and invoked the traditional Islamic concept of mubahala—a solemn mutual invocation of divine curse to settle disputes of truth and falsehood—to assert his integrity before the public and his Creator.
Addressing specific points raised in the public domain, Misbah firmly denied the assertion that he had entered into nine marital unions. He clarified the status of Naima Jannat, whom public rumours had labelled as his fifth wife. According to the speaker, Naima is legally his current second wife, a status that he notes was explicitly acknowledged in the legal notice sent by her own legal counsel. He emphasised that their marriage is fully documented with official registration and valid marital contracts, or kabinnama, and maintained that she entered his household with full awareness that he already had an existing family and children.
Furthermore, the speaker strongly refuted allegations of infidelity, stating unequivocally that he has never been involved in any extramarital relationships. He also dismissed claims that he demanded a dowry from Naima Jannat. Highlighting his preparedness to address the matter through formal judicial channels, Misbah noted that because legal proceedings have already been initiated in court, he is fully prepared to provide appropriate legal responses and contest the claims according to established legal procedures.
To reinforce his position, Misbah issued a direct spiritual challenge through his social media post, calling upon those who believe the allegations, or Naima Jannat herself, to join him in a public invocation of divine judgment if they doubt his truthfulness. He stated that he leaves the final outcome to divine justice rather than public opinion, adding that he intends to issue no further public statements on the matter while leaving any continued defamation to be accounted for by the critics themselves.
