K-pop boy group Cortis has reached a major milestone on Spotify, setting a new record in South Korea with its hit single RedRed. The song has remained at the top of Spotify Korea’s Daily Top Songs chart for 70 consecutive days, marking the longest-running No. 1 by any K-pop group on the platform.
RedRed first climbed to the summit of the chart on 27 April and has held its position ever since. By the chart published on 12 July, the track had completed its 70th straight day at No. 1, surpassing a record that had stood for more than three years and four months. The achievement highlights the song’s sustained popularity and the group’s growing influence in the highly competitive K-pop industry.
The record-breaking run has been developing steadily over recent months. On 20 June, RedRed had already established a new benchmark for a K-pop boy group by remaining at the top of the daily chart for 50 consecutive days. Rather than slowing down, the song continued to attract listeners, extending its lead and setting an even higher standard.
The group’s success is not confined to the daily rankings. RedRed has also dominated Spotify Korea’s Weekly Top Songs chart, staying at No. 1 for 11 consecutive weeks during the charting period from 3 to 9 July. That accomplishment has also become a new record for a K-pop group, reflecting the track’s enduring appeal among listeners across the country.
According to BigHit Music, Cortis currently attracts 12.67 million monthly listeners on Spotify, placing the group among the three most-streamed South Korean boy bands on the platform. The figure underlines the group’s expanding international audience as streaming continues to play a central role in the global music industry.
Cortis consists of five members—Martin, James, Juhun, Seonghyeon and Konho—who are actively involved in writing and composing their own music. Alongside RedRed, another track from the same album, YoungCreatorCrew, has gained considerable attention across social media, further strengthening the group’s profile.
The band is now preparing for another significant milestone in its career. Cortis will hold its first solo concerts on 18 and 19 July at Inspire Arena in Incheon, officially launching its first world tour. The tour will then continue with performances in Seoul, Toronto, New York and Kanagawa, Japan. Advance tickets for all concerts in Incheon and North America have already sold out, signalling strong demand from fans.
The group’s international schedule also includes solo performances at Lollapalooza Chicago on 31 July and 1 August. Cortis will be the only K-pop boy band to present a solo stage at this year’s edition of the renowned music festival, adding another landmark achievement to what has already become a remarkable year for the rising act.
