Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has finalized and announced its multi-format national squads for the upcoming bilateral tour of the West Indies. In a definitive structural reorganization of the limited-overs leadership, the national selection committee has named top-order wicketkeeper-batsman Kusal Mendis as the captain for both the One Day International (ODI) and Twenty20 International (T20I) campaigns.
The versatile all-rounder Kamindu Mendis has been elevated to the role of vice-captain across all three competitive formats. Concurrently, red-ball stability is maintained as senior all-rounder Dhananjaya de Silva retains his position as the captain of the Test team for the duration of the Caribbean tour.
