Mother Suffocates Three-Year-Old Child in India During Phone Call with Lover

In a horrifying incident in the Mathura district of Uttar Pradesh, India, a 32-year-old woman allegedly choked her three-year-old son to death after his crying interrupted a telephone conversation with her extramarital partner.

The tragedy took place in Chhauli village on 28 June, with details surfacing on Tuesday, 28 July, through local law enforcement and media reports. According to authorities, the suspect, identified as Ruchi Jindal, contacted her husband, Krishna Murari Gupta, shortly after the incident, claiming that their child had stopped responding following a prolonged crying spell. The toddler was rushed to a nearby medical facility, where doctors pronounced him dead on arrival.

At the time, Mr Gupta believed his wife’s account, suspecting that an adverse reaction to a polio vaccine administered earlier that same day might have caused the sudden death. Consequently, the family proceeded with the child’s burial without suspecting foul play.

The true nature of the child’s death came to light when Mr Gupta overheard his wife discussing the child’s murder during a phone call. Following the discovery, the victim’s uncle, Govind Gupta, inspected the suspect’s mobile phone, revealing extensive communication logs with an unidentified man over an extended period.
