The National Citizens’ Party (NCP), a partner in the 10-party electoral alliance led by Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, has announced candidates for three previously vacant constituencies out of the 30 seats allocated to the party under the alliance’s seat-sharing agreement.
On Tuesday, 20 January, NCP Media Cell chief Mahbub Alam confirmed the decision to the press. He stated that the three candidates contesting the previously unfilled seats are:

Earlier, on Sunday, 18 January, the party had published posters on its verified Facebook page featuring 27 confirmed candidates along with their photographs. NCP urged voters to support its candidates under the party’s election symbol, the ‘Shapla Kali’ (water lily).

Previously, the 10-party alliance had announced seat-sharing for 253 parliamentary constituencies. Islamic Movement Bangladesh, initially expected to join the alliance, ultimately opted out and decided to contest independently in 268 seats, pledging support to other candidates in the remaining 32 constituencies.
As a key member of the alliance, NCP is now contesting 30 seats. The announcement of the three additional candidates fills all the seats assigned to the party, consolidating its position in the coalition and strengthening coordination among the alliance members ahead of the forthcoming general elections.
