A tragic road accident in Ullapara, Sirajganj, claimed the life of a primary school teacher on Sunday morning. The victim, Mosharraf Hossain, worked as an assistant teacher at Suja Government Primary School. He was the son of Saiful Master, a well-known resident of Kaliakoir village. His sudden death has cast a profound shadow of grief over his family, colleagues, and the local community.
The fatal collision occurred during the morning commute along the Shyamlipara-Mohonpur Road in the Paschimpara area. Mr Hossain was riding his personal motorcycle towards his workplace when a sand-laden heavy truck struck his vehicle from behind. The impact was severe, causing him to sustain fatal injuries. He passed away at the scene before medical help could reach him, drawing a large crowd of anxious local residents to the site.
Local authorities acted promptly following the incident. Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md Mehedi Hasan of Ullapara Model Police Station confirmed that police personnel recovered the victim’s body from the site and transported it to the police station. The damaged motorcycle involved in the crash was also impounded.
Although law enforcement officers successfully seized the sand-laden truck, the driver managed to flee the scene immediately after the collision. Police have launched an active search to track down and apprehend the fugitive driver. Authorities are currently coordinating with the grieving family to complete necessary administrative procedures and hand over the body for final rites.
