A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between Pubali Bank PLC and NOVOAIR at the Card Business Division of Pubali Bank’s Head Office in Dhaka, according to a press release.
The signing ceremony was attended by senior officials from both organisations. N. M. Firoz Kamal, Deputy General Manager and Head of the Card Business Division of Pubali Bank PLC, and Sohail Majid, Director of Marketing and Sales at NOVOAIR, were present during the event.
Other officials from Pubali Bank PLC included Mohammad Mizanur Rahman, Public Relations Officer and Assistant General Manager; Md. Ashadulla Khan, Assistant General Manager and Head of Card Marketing; and Md. Saiful Islam, Senior Officer for Marketing and Strategic Alliance. Senior officials from NOVOAIR were also present, reflecting participation from both institutions.
Under the agreement, Pubali Bank cardholders will receive special fare discounts on NOVOAIR services. Holders of Pubali Mastercard World Credit Cards will be entitled to an exclusive 20 per cent discount on ticket purchases. Other Pubali Bank cardholders will receive a 10 per cent discount.
The discounts will be applicable when purchasing tickets through the NOVOAIR mobile application as well as at authorised sales counters. The arrangement is intended to provide added value to cardholders while encouraging digital and card-based transactions for air travel bookings.
Such partnerships between banks and airlines are commonly used to expand customer benefits and strengthen service offerings. For Pubali Bank PLC, the initiative enhances value-added services for its cardholders. For NOVOAIR, the agreement is expected to support wider customer reach and increased ticket sales.
