Sonali Life Insurance Company Limited has conducted a specialised professional development programme titled “Career Guide Special Training” at the Khulna Shilpakala Academy. The training session was organised recently with the participation of branch managers from across the Khulna division. The initiative focused on strengthening professional competencies, improving career planning awareness, and enhancing the effectiveness of field-level operations.
Senior officials of the company were present at the event. Director Mustafa Kamrul Sobhan attended as the chief guest. Director Sheikh Mohammad Daniel delivered the keynote address, while the acting Chief Executive Officer, Rafiqul Islam, presented the main paper of the programme. The session also included participation from senior management officials, including Deputy Managing Director Mohammad Golam Mostafa, Assistant Managing Directors Anupam Das and Emdadul Haque Sahil, and Assistant General Manager Md. Obaidur Rahman Mondol.
The training programme brought together branch managers, unit managers, and financial associates from the Khulna territory. The overall coordination and delivery of the training activities were conducted under the supervision of Assistant Managing Director Emdadul Haque Sahil.
According to company records, Sonali Life currently serves more than 62,000 insurance policyholders in the Khulna division through 15 branch offices. Up to March 2026, the division generated approximately Tk 12 crore in combined first-year and renewal premium income. In 2025, total premium income from the same region exceeded Tk 45 crore.
Claims settlement performance in the Khulna division also shows steady activity. Up to March 2026, around Tk 5 crore was paid in insurance claims. In 2025, the total claims disbursed in the division exceeded Tk 15 crore.
The company also maintains a significant field workforce in the region. At present, the Khulna division has 7,099 field personnel engaged in operations. As of March 2026, 257 new insurance workers were recruited, contributing to ongoing service delivery and customer engagement activities.
