In addition to medical colleges, graduates from Saidpur Government Science College regularly excel in entrance examinations for premier engineering universities, including BUET, RUET, KUET, and CUET, as well as other leading public universities.

Established in 1964 near Saidpur Airport Road, the college was originally known as Saidpur Government Technical College before being renamed in 2020 by the Ministry of Education. The institution offers education from sixth to twelfth grade, with a dedicated science stream starting from the ninth grade. Admission is based strictly on merit. Teachers provide extra classes for weaker students and maintain close communication with parents, often visiting homes to ensure proper guidance. This attentive approach has significantly contributed to the students’ success in SSC, HSC, medical, and engineering university entrance examinations.

Principal Abul Kalam Azad highlighted the college’s politically neutral and family-oriented environment, noting that teaching occurs in a stress-free setting with rigorous supervision. The institution goes beyond the standard curriculum to ensure students are well-prepared for national examinations. He emphasised that the combined efforts of students, teachers, and parents are the key to maintaining consistent success in medical and engineering admissions year after year.
