The earthquake, measuring 6.3 on the Richter scale, occurred at 2:12 a.m. local time on Wednesday, and several buildings fell. The deceased bodies were discovered among the wreckage left by the collapsed buildings, according to Kalpana Shrestha, chief district official for Doti.
She continued, “The injured are undergoing treatment at a neighborhood hospital. Shrestha noted that security forces have also been mobilized in the search and rescue activities and that the epicenter is in the vicinity of the Khaptad National Park. There are often earthquakes in Nepal. The Deadly 2015 earthquake claimed the lives of over 9,000 individuals.
