Bad Bunny Smashes Global Streaming Records

San Francisco: Puerto Rican superstar Bad Bunny has set new global streaming records following his electrifying performance at the Super Bowl halftime show. According to Apple Music, which sponsors the halftime segment, his songs and albums saw an unprecedented surge in streams within hours of the broadcast.

Apple Music confirmed on Monday that Bad Bunny’s setlist became the most-streamed playlist on the platform immediately after the performance. On the Daily Top 100 Global Chart, he placed 23 tracks, including nine in the top 25 and five in the top 10. His hit single “DtMF” claimed the number one spot, highlighting his massive appeal.

Among the 23 charting tracks, six re-entered the Daily Top 100 for the first time since at least February 2025. Notably, the collaboration “I Like It” with Cardi B and J Balvin returned to the charts for the first time since January 2020, marking a significant resurgence for one of his earlier hits.

Bad Bunny’s influence extended worldwide. His latest album, Debí Tirar Más Fotos, charted in 155 countries, reaching the top 10 in 128 nations and claiming the number one spot in 46 countries. Some of the key markets where he topped the charts are listed below:

The excitement was mirrored on the music discovery platform Shazam, where his performance set the record for the highest single-day recognitions by a Latin or non-English-language artist. Shazam recognitions for his tracks during and immediately after the halftime show surged by 400% compared to daily averages. Among the most searched tracks were “Die with a Smile” featuring Lady Gaga and “Lo Que Le Pasó a Hawaii” with Ricky Martin.

Oliver Schusser, Vice President of Apple Music, noted that Bad Bunny has been on the platform since 2016, and his global success “is not surprising but rather expected.” He added, “Apple Music listeners are incredibly enthusiastic about Bad Bunny. These figures reflect both his immense influence and his contribution to the music culture at large.”

This landmark performance not only drove record-breaking streaming growth but also demonstrated Bad Bunny’s unparalleled ability to connect with audiences and fans around the world.
