Rupali Insurance Holds Annual Strategic Conference

Rupali Insurance Company Limited, one of Bangladesh’s leading private-sector insurance providers, hosted its 2026 Annual Conference at the Imperial Convention Centre in Dhaka. The event brought together the company’s Board of Directors, branch managers, regional heads, and field officers to evaluate the 2025 fiscal year performance and chart strategic priorities for 2026, with a focus on strengthening the company’s position in the competitive insurance market.

The conference was chaired by Chairman Mostafa Kamrul Sobhan. In attendance were Directors Kazi Moniruzzaman, Jinnat Ali Mia, and MST Shafia Sobhan Chowdhury, along with Advisor PK Rai, FCA. Acting Chief Executive Officer Md. A H M Abul Khayer, Additional Managing Director Fawzia Kamrun Tania, and Consultant Md. Nazrul Islam, together with senior officials from headquarters and regional offices, also participated.

In his keynote address, Chairman Sobhan emphasised that long-term trust in the insurance sector relies on transparency, accountability, and prompt claim settlements. He urged field officers to uphold professionalism, ethics, and customer-centric service standards. “Sustainable growth,” he noted, “cannot be achieved merely by increasing premium income; it requires prudent risk management and reliable service delivery.”

Acting CEO Md. Abul Khayer outlined the strategic priorities for 2026, highlighting innovation in product offerings, expansion of the corporate client base, and development of technology-driven service systems. He stressed the modernisation of digital platforms, strengthening data management, and strict adherence to underwriting policies to efficiently manage emerging risks.

The 2025 performance review showcased increases in premium revenue, acceleration of claim settlements, customer service initiatives, and progress in digital transformation. Officials noted that intensifying competition in the private insurance sector necessitates ongoing investment in risk assessment frameworks, regulatory compliance, and human resource development.
