This Eid, music lovers are in for a special treat as renowned singer and composer Zahid Nirab unveils a heartfelt family collaboration. For the first time in his career, Nirab has recorded a song alongside his father and siblings, bringing the warmth of familial harmony to the festive season. The qawwali track, titled “Shukriya Hasnah”, with lyrics by Manzur Elahi, is set to premiere on the eve of Eid. It will be available on Zahid Nirab’s official Facebook and YouTube channels, as well as on Prime Bank’s YouTube channel.
Reflecting on the project, Nirab said, “Music has always been a family affair in our home. My father plays the harmonium while I sing, my elder brother Zubayed Al Naeem plays the tabla, my younger brother Hasibul Nibir accompanies us on guitar, and Mehedi Hasan Tamjid plays the rabab. These sessions, once performed live on stage in Munshiganj, have now been transformed into a recorded piece that we are proud to share.”
The singer emphasised the song’s message: “The lyrics are deeply moving. They remind us to be thankful for the countless blessings bestowed upon us by the Creator. The spirit of gratitude inspired the creation of this song.”
Interestingly, the composition began life as a jingle for Prime Bank, which Nirab expanded into a full-length song. He explained, “I loved the original jingle’s concept and words so much that, with permission, we developed it into a complete song. Producing a video for this release was essential. My longtime collaborator Kausar Islam Pranto and his team played a pivotal role in bringing our vision to life.”
Zahid Nirab’s schedule has been packed with multiple projects across advertising, television dramas, and films. This Eid season, several dramas and movies will feature his musical compositions, further cementing his reputation as a versatile and prolific artist.
