Controversial Bangladeshi content creator Hero Alom has officially announced his intention to contest the upcoming Dhaka City Corporation mayoral election under a political party banner, marking a significant shift from his previous runs as an independent candidate.
Speaking on Sunday (5 April), Hero Alom confirmed that he is preparing to enter the race with party backing, describing the move as a new and more structured phase of his political journey. He said the decision reflects his desire to work within an organised framework and present his vision to voters in a more coordinated manner.
“I have decided to participate in the Dhaka City Corporation election with a party symbol. This will be a new experience for me,” he stated.
Previously, Hero Alom contested elections as an independent candidate, gaining attention for his unconventional campaign style and high public visibility. However, he now believes that aligning with a political party will allow him to better communicate his development plans and engage more effectively with voters.
