BRAC Bank has signed an agreement with Ascent Health Limited to provide discounted healthcare services to its employees and cardholders nationwide, the bank said in a press release.
Under the arrangement, all employees of BRAC Bank and their legal dependants—spouses, children, parents, and in-laws—will receive a 30 per cent discount on pathological tests conducted through home sample collection, as well as on consultation chamber visits. Debit and credit cardholders of the bank, along with their eligible dependants, will receive a 25 per cent discount on the same services.
In addition to the financial concessions, both groups will be able to consult specialist physicians across multiple medical fields. These include Internal Medicine, Respiratory Medicine, Rheumatology, Dermatology, Nephrology, Physical Medicine, Neurology, Gynaecology, and Paediatrics. The availability of home-based diagnostic sample collection is expected to facilitate access to services without requiring patients to travel to testing centres.
The agreement was signed on 23 April 2026 at the head office of BRAC Bank. The signing ceremony was attended by senior officials from both organisations.
Representing BRAC Bank were Md. Mahiul Islam, Deputy Managing Director and Head of Retail Banking; Khairuddin Ahmed Bappy, Head of Merchant Acquiring; and Md. Ashraful Alam, Head of Alliances, Retail Banking, along with other senior executives. Ascent Health Limited was represented by its Chief Executive Officer Anwarul Iqbal; Amer Ahmed, Director of Business Development at Ascent Group; and Mohammad Kamruzzaman, Deputy General Manager of Sales – Corporate and B2C.
Md. Mahiul Islam commented on the partnership, stating: “BRAC Bank believes that our responsibility to our people and customers extends well beyond financial services. This partnership with Ascent Health Limited brings quality healthcare within easier reach, whether for our coworkers and their families, or for the millions of customers who bank with us every day.”
The initiative forms part of BRAC Bank’s broader approach to offering additional services alongside its core banking operations, with a focus on improving access to essential services such as healthcare for both employees and customers.
