Two more Bangladeshi pilgrims have died while performing the Hajj in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, bringing the total number of deceased Bangladeshi pilgrims to nine, according to the Bangladesh Hajj Office.
The deaths were confirmed on Tuesday (5 May) by officials at the Bangladesh Hajj Office in Mecca. The deceased have been identified as Md Nasir Uddin Biswas, a resident of Faridpur Sadar, and Mahfuza Begum, from Sadar Model in Chapainawabganj. With these latest cases, the total number of Bangladeshi deaths during the ongoing Hajj season has risen to nine, comprising eight men and one woman.
