“All cases against Khaleda Zia and Tarique Rahman were filed by the so-called caretaker government in 2007. They have been sentenced in those cases. Awami-League government did not file any case. If Awami-League had filed a case, they (BNP) would have defined it as vindictive,” he said.

The AL leader made these remarks while serving as the keynote speaker at a prize presentation ceremony for the two-day Digital Innovation Fair in Jhalokati’s Sheikh Russel Mini Stadium.

Superintendent of Police Md Afruzul Haque Tutul, District Awami League President Sardar Md Shah Alam, District Awami-League General Secretary and District Council Chairman Advocate Khan Saifullah Panir, and District Awami-League Vice-President and Upazila Parishad Chairman Khan Arifur Rahman were among those who spoke at the event, which was presided over by Jhalokati Deputy Commissioner Md Zohar Ali.
