Atif Aslam Concert Proceeds to Benefit July Movement Martyrs

Dhaka, Bangladesh: After a string of postponed musical events in Dhaka over the past month — from Azmat Ali to Anuv Jain, and from Pakistan’s Jal Band to Kabish — fans have been left anxious about upcoming performances. Amid these uncertainties, popular Pakistani singer Atif Aslam is scheduled to perform in Dhaka on 13 December, raising questions among audiences: Will the concert be held? Will Atif return without performing? Will ticket holders receive refunds?

Addressing these concerns, the organiser, Main Stage Inc, has issued an official statement confirming that all necessary permissions have been secured for the concert at the China-Bangladesh Friendship Exhibition Centre (CBFC) in Purbachal. To ensure convenience and safety, BRTC will provide a free shuttle service for attendees.

Concert Details and Security Measures:
Main Stage Inc has assured that the venue is fully prepared with enhanced security both inside and outside, controlled entry and exit points, and adequate parking facilities. The organisers promise a safe, well-organised, and comfortable experience for the audience.

The event is co-organised with the humanitarian initiative Spirits of July, and in a significant philanthropic move, 40% of the concert’s profits will be donated to the July Martyrs’ Memorial Foundation. These funds will support the families of those who were injured or killed during the July movement, providing long-term assistance to affected households.
