On 5 January 2017, a group of music enthusiasts came together to form Kureghar Band, a collective that would soon carve a distinctive niche in Bangladesh’s contemporary music scene. Initially captivating audiences with renditions of popular songs, the band quickly transitioned to original compositions, introducing a fresh and innovative approach to mainstream music that set them apart. Over the past decade, Kureghar Band has become synonymous with creativity, musical sophistication, and cultural relevance.
On 5 January 2026, the band celebrated its ninth anniversary and officially embarked on its tenth year. To mark the occasion, they released a new single, “Tai To Elam Sagore”, on their official YouTube channel, delighting fans nationwide. Tasrif Khan also shared that the band plans to release two more singles this month, with an ongoing commitment to publish at least one new song every month, ensuring a continuous engagement with their audience.
Beyond music, Kureghar Band actively contributes to social and humanitarian causes. The group has been involved in supporting Rohingya refugees, promoting education for underprivileged children, and assisting communities affected by natural disasters. During the anniversary celebrations, the band participated in winter relief distribution, organised charity concerts, conducted awareness campaigns, and engaged in community outreach programmes.
