In a chilling revelation, police in Bengaluru, Karnataka, have disclosed the details of a shocking murder involving a 34-year-old female software engineer. The victim, identified as Sharmila D., was employed at a prominent local technology firm.
According to authorities, the principal suspect, 18-year-old Karnel Kurai, has been arrested in connection with the incident. Preliminary investigations indicate that on the night of 3 January 2026, Kurai allegedly entered Sharmila’s residence through a window with the intention of committing sexual assault.
