Bangladesh now know exactly when they will take the field during the 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup. The team has been placed in Group C, where they will face England, the West Indies, Nepal and Italy. The tournament will run across India and Sri Lanka throughout February and March.
The ICC finalised the groups and full schedule yesterday. Group A features a high-voltage India–Pakistan pairing, along with the United States, Namibia and the Netherlands. Group B includes Australia, Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe, Ireland and Oman, while South Africa, New Zealand, Afghanistan, Canada and the UAE make up Group D.
Bangladesh open their campaign on 7 February against the West Indies at Kolkata’s Eden Gardens. Their next two matches in the group stage—against Italy on 9 February and England on 14 February—will also take place in the same stadium. For the final group fixture, Bangladesh will head to Mumbai to face Nepal on 17 February, a match that could determine their Super Eight prospects.
To qualify for the Super Eight stage, Bangladesh must finish in the top two of their group. The Super Eight phase will see each team play three matches. The top four teams from that round will enter the semi-finals, scheduled for 4 and 5 March, followed by the final on 8 March. The final’s location will be decided based on Pakistan’s qualification.
Bangladesh’s group-stage fixtures are as follows:
- 7 February – vs West Indies, Kolkata, 3:30 pm
- 9 February – vs Italy, Kolkata, 11:30 am
- 14 February – vs England, Kolkata, 3:30 pm
